MON POSTE
Responsable Maintenance, puis Responsable travaux neufs depuis 2007, je suis arrivé en 1999. Je suis le premier technicien ayant des compétences techniques pour maintenir les premières machines en état de marche. Très vite, j’ai pris la responsabilité du service maintenance lorsqu’il a été créé. Le succès de l’entreprise a nécessité des investissements réguliers chaque année, et de façon exponentielle. J’ai donc accompagné cette progression dans l’installation des nouveaux outils.
En 2007, la quantité de projets à mener a imposé une séparation de l’activité de la maintenance et des travaux neufs. J’ai donc pris la responsabilité de ce dernier.
Mon expérience popcorn
Une bonne impression qui est pour moi révélatrice de la dimension de NATAÏS est de trouver en rayon les produits qu’on fabrique lorsqu’on se trouve à l’autre bout du monde.
Mon expertise popcorn
Ma mission principale est de dimensionner l’outil industriel pour répondre au besoin des clients. Leur souhait de vouloir des produits nouveaux et toujours plus parfait m’impose d’innover. Beaucoup de défit donc à relever car le popcorn est un marché de niche sur lequel l’industrialisation ne s’est pas forcément déployée.
Mes journées peuvent varier suivant les phases des projets. Les phase études et conception me demandent un travail en collaboration avec les équipes de production et maintenance, la direction, les fournisseurs. En phase de réalisation je passe beaucoup de temps sur l’accompagnement des fournisseurs. En phase de mise en service, je travaille en étroite collaboration avec les services production, maintenance et fournisseur. Tous les projets n’étant pas au même stade, c’est donc un mélange de ces missions qui occupent mes journées.

Étant moi-même originaire de ce département, j’ai trouvé l’opportunité d’entrer dans une entreprise qui travaille avec un produit agricole et qui met toute l’énergie possible pour le valoriser. Mes compétences et la confiance qu’on m’accorde m’ont convaincu à m’engager pour relever les défis et se construire.
Le service travaux neufs
Le service travaux neufs est une des force de l’entreprise. Il est issue de l’activité technique intense du déploiement des outils industriels. Il intervient dans les phases importantes d’un projet : étude, conception, réalisation, mise en production. Une fois démarrées, les installations sont prisent en main par le service production et maintenance. Les travaux neufs touchent directement toutes les activités ayant besoin d’outils ou de locaux, soit la quasi-totalité de l’entreprise : stockage et triage maïs, production, logistique. C’est cette dimension transversale qui amène du dynamisme dans le fonctionnement.

Maintenance Manager then facility manager since 2007, I joined the company in 1999.
I am the first technician to have the technical skills to maintain the early machines in working condition. Quickly enough, I was in charge of the maintenance department when it was created. The success of the company relied upon regular significant investments. I supported this growth through the launch and implementation of new production tools.
In 2007, the amount of projects to run was such that a separation had to be made between the maintenance and new works activities. I thus took the responsibility of the latter.
My popcorn experience
A good impression, revealing of Nataïs’s current dimension, is the fact that we may find the goods we are producing all over the world.
My popcorn expertise
My main task is to adjust our industrial tools to best answer our customers’ needs. Their constant longing for new and improving products requires me to innovate. This represents a lot of challenges to take on since the popcorn industry is a niche market where industrialization has not necessarily been implemented systematically. My usual day varies a lot according to the projects stages in which I find myself. The study and conception stages require cooperation work with the production, maintenance and managing teams as well as with our suppliers. When carrying out the project, I spend a lot of time supporting the suppliers in their projects. When implementing the project, I work closely with the production, maintenance departments as well as with the suppliers. All on-going projects are not at the same stage, so it a mix of these various tasks that keeps me busy.

The Facilities management department
Our department is an asset to the company. It originates from the intense technical activity linked to the implementation of industrial tools. It intervenes during all the major stages of a project: study, conception, carrying out, implementation. Once they are up and running, the new installations are taken in charge by the production and maintenance departments.
Facility management is directly related to all activities in need of tools or facilities; this includes almost the whole company: storage and sorting popcorn, production, logistics. This transversal characteristic brings dynamism to our operations.
