MON POSTE
Je suis arrivé à Nataïs fin Mai 2016 au sein du parcours tremplin en tant que Chef de Projet Opérationnel en production. Après quelques mois effectué sur les différentes lignes de production Micro-ondes, j’ai eu l’occasion de passer sur le poste Vrac début Octobre. Par la suite j’ai eu la chance début Janvier d’intégrer le service Flux Maïs en tant que responsable de l’approvisionnement de l’usine.
mon expérience popcorn
Je n’aurais jamais pensé qu’un jour, je compterais les tonnes de maïs comme j’aurais pesé de la farine pour un gâteau. Je veux dire, le vendredi soir, je lance 240T de tri pour le week-end comme si de rien n’était.
Mon expertise popcorn
Ma principale mission est d’approvisionner le maïs vers l’usine. Contrairement à ce que l’on pense, les caractéristiques du maïs à popcorn font que nous avons plus d’une quinzaine d’article à gérer. Le challenge est donc de livrer le bon maïs au bon moment et ce pour les 800T que nous faisons par semaine. Cela passe aussi par la gestion de la tour de triage qui nous assure un maïs débarrassé de toutes impuretés et grains abimés.
Ma journée commence généralement par faire le planning du lendemain ainsi que le TRS de la tour de triage. S’en suit un certain nombre de réunion, les commandes à transformer en ordre de fabrication et le suivi de tous les flux dont je suis responsable. Les divers projets en cours viennent compléter cet éventail d’activités.
Ce qui est passionnant dans ce poste, c’est qu’aucun jour ne se ressemble et que l’adaptation est de mise pour une journée réussie.
Nataïs pour moi c’est…
En sortant de l’école, Nataïs m’a proposé quelque chose de très atypique et intéressant : l’opportunité de commencer à travailler sans savoir exactement vers quel métier je souhaitais orienter ma vie professionnelle, mais surtout l’occasion de tester et changer de voie si celle-ci ne me convenait pas.
Nataïs est une entreprise jeune, dynamique et exigeante. L’envie de progresser et d’améliorer chaque chose est omniprésente, permettant à un grand nombre de projet de voir le jour et créant un progrès constant.
LE flux maïs
Centré sur le cœur notre produit, le service Flux Maïs a pour mission de stocker puis d’approvisionner le maïs vers nos moyens de productions. Une partie de l’équipe, dédiée à la gestion des silos, sèche et entretient le maïs de manière à fournir la meilleure qualité possible à nos clients. La partie approvisionnement vise à livrer le maïs en juste à temps, assurant un minimum de stockage pour une optimisation des coûts. Garant de la qualité du Popcorn, ce service intègre aussi bien une forte expérience technique du maïs à éclater qu’une connaissance approfondie des flux et de leurs spécificités.

my job
I started at Nataïs at the end of May 2016, as part of the « launch your career path » in the production department. After a few months working on the different microwave production lines, I had the opportunity to switch to the Bulk production line at the beginning of October. After that, I was lucky enough to join the Popcorn supply stream department and have been responsible for the plant’s supply in popcorn ever since.
My popcorn experience
I would have never thought that one day, I would count popcorn tons like I would weigh flour for a cake! I mean, on Friday nights, I start the sorting of 240 tons of popcorn for the weekend like it’s no big deal!
My popcorn expertise
My main mission is to supply the plant with popcorn. Contrary to what one might think, popcorn’s various characteristics mean that we have more than fifteen different articles to deal with. Our challenge is to deliver the right popcorn at the right time, and this for the 800 tons we work with every week. We achieve this by optimizing the sorting tour which ensures that our popcorn is free from any impurities and damaged kernels.
My daily routine usually starts with planning the following day and the TRS of the sorting tour. After that I attend various meetings, receive placed orders to translate into production orders and follow up on all flows I am responsible for. Different ongoing projects are also part of daily routine. The fact that no two days are the same makes this role so exciting and means that adaptation is key for a successful day!
For me, Nataïs is about…
After I graduated, Nataïs offered me something very atypical and interesting: the opportunity to start working without knowing exactly what I wanted to do and the possibility to try out and switch paths if I felt like it didn’t suit me. Nataïs is a young, dynamic and demanding company. The urge to progress and improve everything is omnipresent, enabling a lot of projects to be launched and constantly working to make things better.
the popcorn supply stream
Focused on the heart of our product, the popcorn supply stream department is there to store and supply popcorn to our production lines. Part of our team is dedicated to managing the silos and is in charge of drying up and maintaining the popcorn in order to offer the best quality possible to our customers. The supplying side aims at delivering the popcorn just in time, ensuring minimum storing time to optimize costs. Our department vouches for the popcorn’s quality and encompasses a thorough technical experience as well as an in-depth knowledge of flows and their specificities.
